When to Call an Interventionist

The LightDrug and alcohol intervention is an integral part of Pat's practice. By helping people reach out to their loved ones, Pat hopes to accomplish her goal:

TO SAVE LIVES AND RESTORE FAMILIES!

Early interventions are the most effective. When should you call an Addictions Specialist?

  • Before the addict/alcoholic "hits bottom".
  • When you need education and choices around addiction.
  • When you are confused about allowing or enabling self-destructive behavior.
  • When someone needs help but refuses to accept it.
  • When you need to know how and when to set boundaries.

There may be several reasons why you haven't called for some help:

  • Because things are "not that bad".
  • Because you fear what others will think.
  • Because you don't have time.
  • Because you are afraid of what you will have to do.
  • Because you don't know who to turn to.

Don't let your fears stop you from taking the necessary action.

ACT NOW - ACT SOON - GET HELP EARLY!

If you're not sure intervention is right for your loved one, we strongly recommend you answer our quick questionnaire for your own clarification.

Intervention is a lifelong journey to recovery for both the chemically dependent person and the people who care about him/her. Intervention is more than an event. At the end of intervention will await freedom for all involved.
